If you've got a steady group of 2-4 and a calendar you can actually keep, this is one of the most memorable campaigns in the hobby. Just know you're buying a story you play once, not a game you keep forever.

What it is
This is cooperative Pandemic with a memory. You're still a team of disease fighters racing to cure four diseases before the world tips over, but here the board keeps score across roughly 12 to 24 sessions. You add stickers, you tear up cards, you write names on characters and sometimes give them permanent scars. Wins and losses both push the story forward. Real players describe it less like a board game and more like a season of television you star in.
The catch
The honest caveats are real. You play this campaign once, with the same crew, and it physically eats its own components, so don't expect to keep it pretty on a shelf. New rules arrive mid-campaign, and a single misread move can dent your story with no undo button. Sessions run long once you count setup and teardown, closer to two hours some nights. And it's still co-op Pandemic, so one loud planner can quarterback the table if you let them.
Who it's for
So who should buy it? A group of 2 to 4 that can actually commit to a run of game nights, ideally without huge gaps where you forget the plot. If your schedule is chaos or you hate destroying a game you paid for, skip it. But if you want a shared experience your group will still bring up years later, few games deliver like this one. It earns its reputation. Start the campaign.
