The deluxe box hands you two whole games: the heavier 2010 rules with a banking system, and the gentler 2016 Reserve. Here's the magic players keep pointing to. The theme and the rules are so tangled together that the mechanics actually stick in your head.

The catch

Now the honest part. You get only twelve actions across the entire game, and you start with not-quite-enough cash, so every choice pinches. The teach is genuinely scary, the setup is long, and you'll be flipping between booklets for rules and tile references. Even fans admit the fair and magnate scoring feels like complexity bolted on rather than grown from the wine. New players misplay it constantly, forgetting region bonuses and value rules. This is not a once-in-a-while game.
