What it is
You're a 1950s suburb planner with a pencil and a street of empty houses. Each round three cards flip up, pairing a house number with a perk like a pool, a park, a fence, or a bonus. Everyone picks from the same three combos at once, then writes a number into a house, building rising sequences down three streets. It's a flip-and-write, not a roll-and-write, and that small swap is the whole trick.
The catch
Here's the honest catch. You barely touch the other players. There's a race for the City Plan bonus cards and a real-estate value track, but mostly you're heads-down solving your own sheet, so if you crave trading, blocking, or table talk, this'll feel like quiet parallel solitaire. Players also grumble that the flips get lucky for someone, and a slow tablemate can stall everyone with analysis paralysis. The box says up to 100; real players cap it around 5-6.
Who it's for
What keeps it on the shelf is how much puzzle fits in 25 minutes. The choices are usually binary and they never let up, every number you write closes a door somewhere else. It teaches in two minutes, plays great solo, and the pads are refillable. If you want a clever light game for couples, families, or gamers between heavier stuff, get it.
